Treats of Wisdom

Tea Cups Brimming With Knowledge The jagged edges of each velvet leaf a round teacup with petite lavande roses The essence of Joan. Her silver hair combed away from her face, inabling her high cheek bones to be revealed. Eyes that shine like emerald pools, glisten as we visit. Things like treats of wisdom are passed down to me. She made me feel so special, the facts that she shares with me have exceptional meaning. Her diary is thick with events that happened long ago. The freezer is full of date bread, the flavor that Joan makes, from nuts and and flour and dates; Loaves of bread, a treat to most. Her demeanor is majestic, with words so mystical. I miss her so. She gave me so much. In store is a caring evening of love and conversation, my memory of Joan on the burner. We sip alone. Coldplay is not Rock!

I'm sorry but I must rant on my Blog today. Sunday night was the annual Grammy award show. I ended up watching some of it, but must admit I am not a big fan of these kind of shows, because I feel a lot of the times they don't really award some of the talent that needs to be awarded. Which leads me to my title of this post. I'm sorry but Coldplay is not a rock band. Yes I like Coldplay, and I do have their music. But I also feel this last CD sounded a lot like their last CD. What I am all revved up about, is that they won for Best Rock Album... HELLO - never heard them played on any rock stations around here. Here are bands that are rock Hinder, Saving Abel, but did they even get nominated or mention? And, both of those groups have newer albums out, and what about Kid Rock? His last album has done very well, and if anything "All Summer Long" was played a heck of a lot more then Coldplay's Viva La Vida. Oh and I hear Kid Rock on a Rock Station... Plus Kid can sing live... Chris Martin not so much...

On the flip side - kudo's to Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Adele, Duffy... Good stuff!

Okay, stepping off the vent box. Just needed that one of my chest. I enjoy music a bunch, and when I see this crud, it makes me a bit mad.

Goodness....

Call me a blog slacker. I swear I don't know lately, where the time goes. Plus nothing that exciting is happening around here. But today my oldest child turns nineteen, this mom is saying OMG! I think I might be getting old here. We had a lovely dinner last night at Applebee's, which turned out really fun, when my best friend showed up with all of her family to celebrate her oldest daughter's birthday, which is the same day as my daughter. Too fun, and we didn't even plan that to happen!

Well after coming close to pulling my hair out. I finally, got the new phone to work with all the features. The person who set up my new phone, forgot to add in all the fun features I can use on there. I knew there wasn't something right about it, and after a follow up phone call this morning, I got to talk to a techie person at the cell phone company, and she got everything set up and working. I must say I love our cell phone company.

Hope everyone is doing well, and I'll try not take so long to post next time. I think I will blame it on the Winter weather. It is slowing me down. So on that note, I laugh, and end this post.
