One Book Down & Almost Giveaway Time

Ok, I have finished the first book in this series, and it was good! If you think you might be interested in reading these books, I would either check them out at the local library, or buy them at Walmart, the prices for them there, are very reasonable. I believe I got all three books for under $30, which for new books, isn't bad at all.

After hearing so many good reviews of the book Twilight. I finally picked it up yesterday, along with the 2 books that follow this book in the series. So far, I have to say, I enjoy this book. Oh, and a FYI if you didn't already know, Kid's Bop 14 is released today. LOL I know this because my 9 yr old is waiting patiently to head to the store to buy this cd.

Casino & a Trimmer that kicks butt...

Yesterday was me & hubbies anniversary(another year of wedding bliss, LOL). Anyways, on our anniversary we always go to a casino, it has to do with what we did on our honeymoon travels, well neither one of us are real gamblers, and only visit the casino on the wedding anniversary. We were totally shocked when we went to gamble, there is no more quarters, go into the machine, what is up with this? Shoot, now just stick some greens (paper money) in the machine, then if you win you get a paper ticket print out with your winnings on it. Please is this what gambling has come to? Really, can you say that is any fun? It isn't to me, and next years anniversary, dh & I may just have to make different plans. If I am going to lose money in a machine, then I want to have some fun doing so. This new way isn't Ching'ing to me! Oh and seeing an older person, toting an oxygen tank, barely walking, and playing a machine, next to someone holding a cigarette, looks like danger to me. Yes, I seen this!

The other Saturday rambling I would like to share with you, is this new trimmer from Fiskars (rock- paper- trimmer), that you can plug your Ipod or anything else that needs speaker to hear it play, totally rocks. I am listening to it right now, and the sound is really good, and yes the trimmer cuts really good too.

I also must mention some thing about CHA. Angela from Unity Stamps is such a sweetie, also Suzy Weinberg from Ranger is so darn funny. I have to share with everyone, what happen at her demo. She was making some very cool items, and Julie & I were there when she made some of these cool items. Well she gave one to Julie and one to Me, well the one she gave to me, matches my tattoo that I have on my ankle. Suzy had no idea that I had that on my ankle, and it was kinda neat that this had happen.

CHA revisited

I believe this Summer CHA visit was the best ever! It was so much fun seeing all the new products and meeting up with people, that I know, and meeting lots of new ones. This visit also involved some fabulous winnings. I am now the new owner of these two new products,



Making Memories Slice & Fiskars Rock-Paper-Trimmer. I am still in complete shock, that I actually have these two awesome tools. When I won the slice, I also won a Runway Tote full of MM products, the MM blog shows a picture of the two prize patrol gals, that were awarding people with these grand prizes, they were so much fun.

It's time for the adventure to CHA! In 24 hours the trip will begin.
There is going to be some exciting things happening this year, and I cannot wait to be there and see these exciting things, and hopefully I will make sure I capture them on film, so I can come back and share my experience with all of you.
Last year on a trip after the show, we were downtown Chicago, and they were filming the new release movie "Wanted", this year the word is out that they are filming Johnny Depp's new movie. Now that is a film set to invade. LOL

a ballgame, an atc & a clown...

What a combo that is, but it kinda sums up the week, around here. I have been meaning to add this atc card to my collection for the Deck of Me group. Then Don & I attending a our local semi pro baseball game, where his company put on a tailgate party, and tickets to the game. Then yesterday while at Mom's store, we were entertained by Jewls the clown, so cute and very entertaining. But the biggest thing about all of this, is that I actually have photos from all of the events. Shocking I know, this doesn't happen often, or I should say lately, it hasn't. So grip your computer chair arms, and prepare yourself for a peek of the photos.

Lack of Photos

I'm sure many of you have nice shots of fireworks from the 4th of July. Well here is a shot from the 4th of July, and actually about the only photo from that day. I had my camera with me, but just didn't take many photos, which I should have, but for some reason I forgot to use it and get those family shots of the day. Just this one of Sarah coming out of the pool, doesn't it just scream 4th of July. LOL
It has been brought to my attention that Hello Kitty doesn't have a mouth. Yikes! I had no idea that this was a true fact, but sure enough, when I took a closer look at Ms. Hello Kitty there is no mouth to be seen on her. Gosh, you learn something everyday - thanks Jeanne for pointing that out. Should we investigate, and find out why she doesn't have a mouth? Or should we just turn on the "glow" and admire the colors?
On a different note - I highly recommend the Elsie Recipe idea box - mine arrived yesterday and if you love Elsie's work, this is chuck full of it. Two Thumbs Up on this One!

Bow to the Glow

are these cute or what? Well the weekend was full of fun, and one of the fun things was going to the fireworks, where they had vendors selling the "glow" items, and I mean lots of "glow" items. I am going to let you know that I was suck into the Hello Kitty glow. This Hello Kitty neckless, is so darn cute & cool. It has multi colors, that can flash in rapid pulse or just slowing change several different colors, a real must see in person. Well not long after Don purchased the Hello Kitty one, here came this guy selling the Dancing Guy neckless. Oh yeah it flashes in multi colors, and very cool colors at that, and with that black background, a real must see in person item. So the new thing here, is to worship the Glow. LOL

the hunt

Sometime the hunt for a new scrapbooking product, can be fun and sometimes it can downright be a big pain in the tushie. I have been on the hunt for the Love, Elsie recipe idea box. This hunt has been going on for sometime now, and everywhere I went it was sold out. Well after going through several pages of a google search, I broke down and went back to Ebay and now have thissweet little recipe box on it's way here. Plus I love that Buy Now button on items at Ebay. It really comes in handy when your buying something at 2 AM. hee hee
I also had a good shopping day yesterday and found some really fun goodies, of course we are talking about scrapbooking goodies. I need to support the lss around here, since I am one who doesn't want any of them to close their doors, and I don't go on those "I must use up my stuff, before I can buy more" missions. Really how boring is that. So I informed Don before we go to dinner, which was a really good dinner at a favorite spot of ours. I made him stop at a lss , and no he didn't go in, it was a solo mission. My dear hubby isn't a shopper in the first place, and to go into to a lss for him, isn't happen in his book. So I ventured into the store solo, and the way I like shopping, when I don't have a lot of time to shop, power shopping is a solo job. It didn't take long to have something in my hands. I spotted the new MM stamps, and they had the one I wanted, so in my basket it went, along with stamps from Autumn Leaves, Scenic Route, and Imaginisce (does my Mom own a stamp store?). Then I found some new Cosmo Cricket paper, I believe I am adding them to my favorite paper list, loving the new stuff, a lot! I found some other goodies, and I'm sure I could've found some more, but time was short and dh was in the car waiting, so that was a fun visit to the lss.

Oh and if you go to an ice cream place, and they have Birthday Remix on the menu- Get It! It's so darn good.
