June 3rd is the big date! Journey's new album will be released and from what I have heard from it so far, it doesn't sound to bad, and the new singer Arnel has the Journey sound. Of course I must hit Walmart on this release date, they are going to have the special 3 disc set, that includes 11 rerecorded songs, 11 new songs, and the concert DVD shot in Las Vegas. I think I will put a little reminder note in my car, so I won't forget to stop by Wally's world and pick this release up on June 3rd. Have I mention that when Journey comes here for their concert they are going to be with Heart & Cheap Trick. Now I have seen Cheap Trick, back when they were big, but I would love to see Heart. So it's looking like this might be in our concert line up this Summer.

Now onto scrappy news, you didn't think I wouldn't have something to tell you about some kind of new product or something else in the scrappy world. Well I have to tell you if you haven't seen the new Sassafras Lass lines, it's a must. I just got them all and they are all worth getting. The new paper is so nice looking, and it's going to be fun to create with. I love the stamps too! Also, Elsie new Claire line is very girly and cute. If you have a girl this line will be fun to work with. I recommend the stamp from this one too. Ok, that is the scrappy report. Someday soon I may have something to show you, but right now the scrap table has been unused, just busy doing other things at the moment.

Before I go for now, on a TV note. Did you hear American Idol had it's lowest ratings since airing? I wonder why - on the good news front -Thank GOODNESS Grey's has return, and don't miss this weeks Ugly Betty a little Project Runway is going to be on there. I can't wait!

Really now, can it be.....

A whole week since my last post? Well almost a whole week, I have a day to spare. Ha!

The reason for this delay in posting, must have something to do with the wonderful weather we are having here. It's really nice here, and after a long Winter, it must be enjoyed. I actually have been busy to. The Spring sports have started, and Sarah is involved with a couple of things, so that takes up time. I have also invested in a personal trainer, so that is going to be a new adventure for me. I'm pretty excited about this and can't wait to begin. So that is about from this homefront. Now to tell you about a couple of new things I have come across, you don't think I don't have something to share with you? Remember it has almost been a week since that last post.Here is the newest cookbook to enter my house. The author Devin Alexander is also the author of The Biggest Loser Cookbook, but in this cookbook, she really takes your favorite foods, and makes them good for you, but without losing the good taste of them, by making them healthy. This is the kind of cookbook I have been waiting for. It is brand new, and was just released yesterday. It can be found at Amazon, but I picked mine up at Waldenbooks. Now for the second item I would like to share with everyone, and I believe it's a good find and it involves Tim Holtz, how can we go wrong there, right? Now you can get all of Tim Holtz's paper, elements and alphabets on dvd's so you can print out whenever you need them. Love it! You can find these dvd's at www.d.originals.com there are 3 different dvd's. I have the elements one, and I really think it's worth getting.

Have I told you that American Idol is rigged? Hey now you can forget your song and still go on. Oh the new fun video game in this house is Guitar Hero III - OMG! This game is a blast to play, and were having so much fun with it, also another thing taking up some of my time.

Sorry to make this brief, but I am exhausted this week. I just wanted to touch base with the blog world, but now I am heading to bed and konk out until that 4 AM alarm goes off again. Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow, and I don't work weekends. I plan to relax this weekend.

Super Saturday

Not quite sure if it's really super Saturday or not, but any day I don't have to work is super to me. Now I thought I should make the weekend post on here, not a whole lot to chat about, but I can tell you that the Fabric Scrapbooking by Donna Downey is really good. It has a lot of fresh fun ideas in it to make, and the book is set up for easy creating these projects.

Donna other book in this new series Designing Layouts is good, but I believe this one you need to see in person, to determine if it is something you need to add to your collect. I really prefer the Fabric one in this series.

Do you remember the Midnight Special. I can because I am old (ha!) This was a show you stayed up late on the weekend to watch. This was your chance to see your favorite singer performed. Classic stuff like the Bee Gees, Elton John, David Bowie, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Heart and so many more. Now they are selling Midnight Special dvd collections on TV. Boy seeing this info commercial, sure does bring back the memories. Now if you aren't old enough to remember this. I'm sorry to tell you, that you missed out on some good stuff.

Quiet Wednesday

Donna Downey's two newest books, Fabric Scrapbooking and A Photos-First Approach to Designing Layouts, plus a decorative storage box, has arrived here today in the mail. I haven't had a chance to read them yet, but if they are anything like the other 3 books from Donna, then they will be good, and a must get item. After I get a chance to go through them I'll let everyone in on my thoughts about them.

Actually that is about the only exciting thing I have to post today - Now I am going to ask you two question and if you want to answer them, you can post a response in the comment section.

Sneak Peek Friday

A little peek at my ATC for Amy's ATC swap. I'm not sure if they are completely done yet. I have this feeling that they need something added to them, but I am not sure what yet. So I am going to stare at them for a bit longer and see if I can figure it out or not. My non-crafter hubby Don thinks they are fine the way they are, but remember he is a non-crafter, so this makes me think twice on taking his opinion on this one. Ha!

This week in the music world, R. E. M. released their 14th studio album. It's getting great reviews, and I was so lucky to have this week off from work, and was able to see them play on the Today's show, where they played some new stuff off the album. I loved what I heard, and will probably download this one.

Today I got noticed that Journey is going to be here in September. I may get tickets for this one, but I do wish it was Steve Perry singing lead. But, this is one of the bands on my must see list, and if I do see them I would be able to check it off the must see list. Here is an unknown fact about me - It was 1984 when I was suppose to go see Journey w/Brian Adams when I was struck with strep throat and was so sick that I was unable to go. Just to think that this was when Steve sang with them too... such a bummer.

Yes, Amy you were close to what I paid for those Jimmy Buffett tickets, just add $40 more to that total... Crazy I tell ya, but Don really wants to see him in concert. It will be worth!
