Vacation is Official Over

It was back to the work today, after having 2 weeks off. I can't say it was really that bad, but I can tell you, that tomorrow isn't going to be a walk in the park. This energy I have right now, will be complete gone by tomorrow, when that alarm goes off at 4 AM, and I can barely drag myself out of bed, and hit that snooze control a couple of extra times. LOL

While off from work, I did manage to work on some of the Deck of Me cards. Here are just a couple of them. I haven't scanned the rest yet. Other then that, my youngest daughter, had a brave moment and got her ears pierced. Personally I wouldn't of mind if she had waited. Just for the fact, that she would be able to take care of them herself, but here it is day 2 and she is doing pretty good about them. I guess it was a good time after all.

Deck of Me - week 46

Also, I am trying to work on that 365 challenge, and so far I have manage to capture everyday. Well that's about all for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful week this week.

120 (mph) down Monitor Lane.....

Please don't scratch your head to hard after reading that title. Plus most of you don't know Billy Burgress and you do have to know Billy to have this title really make any sense. But haven't you ever had one of those flashbacks to the past, and it came back to you so vivid. Well this is what this post & title is all about. These words(post title) coming out of Billy's mouth, and if you could actually hear him saying it, like I did. You would probably fall off your computer chair right about now. Because it was that funny. Someday there just might be a You Tube clip here on my blog of me and Kelli doing our best Billy impersonation of the 120 down Monitor Lane. It would be an academy award performance of us 2 performing this one... LOL

Deck of Me Cards - Week 9 Biggest Revelation

Week 10 - Your Happy Place

I still have Tags from Mary Jo & Bea to post, and I will get them done some time this week.

Missing Earring ....FOUND

Yes ..... Breaking News ...the earring that went missing right after Christmas, has been found. Thank Goodness! I was so bummed after only wearing them a couple of days then having it come up missing. Don found it actually on the floor of our room, not sure how it got there, because I had search that section of floor. I'm just happy it has been found, haven't put them on yet, little gun shy about wearing them.

Here is my card for week 5 ... finally used that butterfly stamp from Technique Tuesday that I have had forever. Signing off for now

Three Little Birds

No point in the title of this post, it's just a title to a Bob Marley song I like. You might hear it on my music that plays on here. I just thought it would serve well for a title to today's post.
Here is my card for week 4 Deck of Me challenge. The thing I like best on this one, is the pattern paper. This is paper from Fancy Pants, it's one of my favorite companies to work with, but I don't use a lot of embellishments when I use their paper. I don't want to cover the pretty design. I do this with Basic Grey paper, the paper can stand on it's own, and doesn't need to be overworked. I have a homemade album sitting somewhat done on my table, and it is done with Basic Grey. Now if I just had some wax thread on hand, so I could bind this book, it's one of those items that I keep forgetting to pick up.

Last week Michael's had a sale on their storage cubes, and at 50% off I just couldn't pass it up, and it was exactly what my bare wall in my scrap room needed. So I bought 8 cube, spent yesterday morning putting them all together (yes I did it all by myself) and now my bare wall looks like this (picture on right). Aren't they pretty! I'm sure I will have it filled in no time, but it's going to be so handy having these units for storage.

mission complete

the remaining cards for emily falconbridge's challenge.

wk. 49 Time Flies - Basic Grey two scoops pp, Heidi Swapp clock & wings stamp, Hero Arts alphabet clear stamps

wk 50 The Greatest Gift - (image did not scan well) the card is done on Making Memories metal sheet (silver) then I used We R Memory Keepers foil, glitter, flock kit, and used the foil one on here, it turned out really cool, if only you could see.

wk 51 Made Me Think of You - all products from Imagination Products, except pink "k" American Craft. I couldn't help doing this card for Kelli, this paper & product made me think of her, and she is "the fashion police".

wk 52 Art - Love this KI Memories paper, and use some of their alphabet soup in Chowder for this card, and the alphabet stamp is Hero Art.
This has completed all 52 weeks, and I had a blast doing them.

New Year, New Challenges

Well working on being crafty this weekend. This is my first card in the Deck of Me challenge. I just love making these, and happy to have found a new challenge to follow throughout the year. I'm also doing something new to these cards. I am actually working on the back of them, I didn't do that with the Emily cards, but I thought I would with these ones. So on this one, there is a list of my goals on the backside, that I am going to work on for 2008.
