Creating Time...
Some time soon I must find some extra time to get busy and create something. Lately it just seems like I have had no time to sit and just create. That extra time must find it's way here soon! I have lots of new goodies, that need to be used. First I should take them out of the shopping bag, they came home in. LOL
Well I turned another year older on Friday. I can't say it was anything exciting. I spent the day running around working and taking dd to her event. But I'm sure I gain some more aches and pains, and I believe I am about to reach the point for reading glasses. Aging is so much fun....LOL
It's going to be a beautiful Fall day here. Today's highlights will include closing our swimming pool, which should of been done a couple of weeks ago. We just haven't had time to do it, with both of our work schedules, being so hectic. So today is the day it must get done. It's not what I want to do today, but when something needs to be done, it needs to be done.
Today is also a day for TV watching. Sunday's are filled with NFL football games, and the Nascar race. I really enjoy watching these events on TV. It is the new season for Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters tonight. I must watch!
Enjoy your Sunday!

The new Season Begins...

The long (very long) wait for Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy is finally here! Ok I must admit it is airing right now, and I missed the first 12 minutes of it. I know that doesn't sound like much, but it is. I just hope I didn't miss anything really good. Although saving the deer has me a little baffle, but it is Grey's, I guess we should expect something like this. I'm just thrilled that I am still awake to watch the show. Now I must turn my attention back to the show.
signing off for now....

Quick Post...
Here is a little rundown of my pass couple of days and the reason for my lack of posting anything. I leave the house at 5:20 AM and getting back home around 5:10 PM, and this week we had a Archery banquet for Sarah, and tonight Don is taking us out to Applebee's, so I am only here until about 5:30 PM. And every night this week Sarah has had homework, so that takes up some of my time. And this week is also Pon Pom's practice and the football game on Friday. So that's another busy thing we need to do with Sarah. And don't forget to add taking the puppy out 50 million times, another time consuming thing to add to the list. LOL If I make it pass 9:00 PM it's a miracle it hasn't happen much lately, I am exhausted and it's bumming me out with the new shows starting this week and I couldn't even make it through House last night and I like that show. But I will not miss Grey's tomorrow night. I will use toothpicks if I must, to keep my eyes open. LOL
Ok time to go for now....

Harvest Moon....
Well this is what the moon looks like right about now. Of course it's a bit grainy from using just my smaller camera, that doesn't have the good zoom lens like my rebel, but it's a peek of the full moon. I would like to call it the harvest moon. Hey it is Fall time and farmers are getting ready to take off the crops soon.I would like that moon to sprinkle down some magical moon dust. I know someone who could use a little magical moon dust.
Today was a pretty big day here in Michigan and other places in the United States. General Motors employee's went out on strike. I know everyone out there might not agree with things like these, but I give them a WTG for this action. You may ask why or you may not care about this matter, but I do. Why do I care? Because it's time that this country starts protecting what we manufacture in this country. My husband just left a good job about a year ago that was in the auto manufacture business, because he knew that the company was moving it's operation to Mexico. This is a United States top 500 Fortune company that made a good profit. I'm sure a better one now. What cracks me up the auto parts that this company produces, will now be made in Mexico, then shipped to Canada, then back to the U.S. Does this make any sense to you, because it sure in the heck doesn't to me. All I see is cheap labor, so the company can profit more. Ok enough blah, blah about that. Just something that I can rant about. LOL But, also made me think about being more concern about buying USA made products. I praise the companies that continue to make their products here in the USA, and I need to support them.
Wow what a post I made tonight! I don't know what got into me... Maybe it's that I believe that people should stand up in what they believe. See I had a point somewhere in this long boring post.

A little book Chat....
Finally after searching about a month locally for a book that I really wanted, and having no luck finding it. I now have a copy of it shipping to me from one of the Authors. I am so happy to know it's on its way here, and it's going to be autograph by Aby Garvey one of the authors. Yeah! Here is the book that's on it's way ----->
The organized & inspired scrapbooker
by: Aby Garvey & Wendy Smedley
And did you notice that word Organized on the title? It's the exact reason I need this book.... LOL
Now I need to talk about the new book that just came out by two wonderful artist. These two sisters Linda Wood & Karen Dinino who wrote Visual Chronicles. Have now followed that book up with this wonderful looking one called Journal Revolution ------------------>

I will be checking this one out, that is no doubt. I loved Visual Chronicles, and I have no doubt I will love this one to. I have also seen that it will be available at Target, along with Amazon and BN.com. I am sure Barnes & Nobles will have it to. That is where I bought my copy of Visual Chronicles.
Sidenote: Yes I am still working on my HS alter clock. LOL

Rambling Tuesday ....
I think I might have to say I am reliving my love with MM products again. I am finding myself really buying their stuff again. I think I always been buying their stuff, my room has proof of it. But the things they have been putting out lately has really caught my eye. I have also been eying up that embellishment center of theirs. I really think it would look nice in this room, and I have a bare wall that could use it. LOLMy other news is I have started to alter that Heidi Swapp clock I have. It's not quite done yet, but it has been started and hopefully in the days to come I'll finish it up and have a new look for that clock. I do have to say using 2 of HS clock overlays, you will get a great effect. Wink!
Short and Sweet today!

Sunday a Day to Rest and Relax...
Of course the day will include football watching and the Nascar race. The Nascar season is now in the race for the chase, so we should see some good racing. And, finally yesterday Michigan (U of M) won their first game of the season against Notre Dame. I was getting a bit scared about my U of M team. It's unlike them to be on a losing streak. Just hope today my other football teams I like will do well. Last week all my teams won, so it was a good start to the football season.
Yesterday, I got an early birthday present from my Mom. I now have the ink pad storage from Tim Holtz. Boy do I love that thing! Thanks MOM!! I can't wait to put my ink pad collection in it, maybe I will do that today. The next storage product I am going to get from the Tim Holtz collection is going to be the one for the alcohol inks. I love those inks and after my Mom's order finally arrive into the store. I will be stocking up on them. They are so much fun to use, and create such a great effect on a project, more colors are needed in my collection.
Enjoy your Sunday today!

My newest book and magazines addition...

Here is my first addition. Love this book, and if you like ATC's cards, then you won't be disappointed with this book. It's really good. It is put out by "A TweetyJill Publication" and I purchased it at Barnes and Nobles. It is filled with so many ATC's and there is even instructions on creating some of them in the book.

Scrapbook Play ------------------>
This one is one of the new magazines I got. It is put out by Simply Scrapbook, and if you are looking for a fun magazine, this is the one. It's full of idea, but also full of cute layouts.

<---- Finally I was able to find a copy of this magazine. I've been wanting to read this one for so long. and finally I got a copy. It is good, really good! I may just have to subscribe to this one. It only comes out quarterly, but if you like using a computer and would like to put it to use with creating (not digital layouts) but everything else. The magazine will come in handy, full of great tips and techniques.

Room to Room --------->
Yes, I have one more to talk about. This special issue by Paper Crafts, is very eye catching. I can't give you a lot of details about it yet, because I have only viewed a couple of the pages, so far. But, I have seen some cute idea from what I have look at.

Another BB season is Over....
But, what I really want now is Grey Anatomy to start it's new season. Tonight on "E" they were showing a little sneak peaks and told that George is going to repeat his internship. I just hope Izzy finds a man soon, personally I don't care for her and George to hook up. But what I really want to see is funny Christine, gosh that girl cracks me up.
It's looking like I am going to be an ABC channel fan this upcoming season. I've seen some of the previews to the new shows, and some of them look really good, and of course I need to watch my Grey's, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Men in Trees, Boston Legal, and hope they have October Road returning, it will be another one I watch. Gosh it really looks like I am addicted to ABC shows. LOL
Oh I got some new scrappy books today, but they are in another room, so I will have to share a recap about what I got in tomorrows post. See if I don't actually create, I back it up with shopping and my weakness for Barnes and Nobles.
Over and Out ..... C Don

Busy Times Here....
The only real problem I have with it right now, is I am too tired to type, which means my post on any message board right now is next to nil. I really have been slacking on getting any posting done. Plus I don't have much to say at the moment either, except I go to work, I come home after being gone for twelve hours. Oh and don't forget that quick stop at the grocery store to get items for the bare cupboards. Then when I get home I may spend a little bit on the computer, but I don't do anything major, just check my email and maybe my blog, then I am usually done for the night.
Needless to say. I haven't done any creating, but that didn't stop me from picking up some Elsie stuff yesterday, while picking up some items for my Mom. I just couldn't resist. I'm so weak when it come to scrapbook supplies, but I say it's a good weakness to have. LOL
C Don signing off for now....

Mom's Store....
I took some pic's of Mom's new rubber stamp store. Of course you have to remember I am not a professional photographer. LOL
It was a fabulous 2nd day of business. When I arrived the place was packed, and many of them were shopping and doing some make n' take cards. I wasn't able to take any photo's until almost closing time. And the doors were lock with shopper's still shopping. Mom had so many compliments on the new store, it was nice to hear. And they loved hearing about the products that are still on their way. Hopefully it arrives soon, a lot of stock went out the door in just these first 2 days.
Enjoy the tour! {sidenote: much better in real life}

I Made It....
Ok, it wasn't too bad, but still would prefer to be on summer break. LOL And, if it wasn't bad enough going back to my regular job. I have also been spending my free time at my Mom's new rubber stamp store. I think I might have a second job and I didn't know I was looking for one. But hey I have to admit this one is funnier then the regular job, but we are talking about working with creative supplies, how can that be real work. Right?
Anyhoo, today was the day the doors opened at Mom's store and from the time that the store opened it doors, it had a nice steady flow of rubber stamp shopper coming in through that door and buying supplies. I have to say it was pretty exciting to see that! And can you believe this, I keep forgetting my camera to get some pic's of the new store. I must share some pic's soon, she did an amazing job on redoing this store. One thing I can say about my Mom, she knows how to decorate. I really believe she is going to do really well with her new venture.
Now I must make note to self....super glue camera to self...no more forgetting it.

What 20 Years gets You.....

Oh I have to laugh .... this is what was in mailbox at work yesterday...
It's a white card, with our works logo on it, a metal pin attached to it that's maybe a little over an inch long, with 20 on it. This is what you get for 20 yrs of service at work. Personally, I would much rather have a nice bonus, or how about a early retirement buy out, I could go for that... LOL
And, what really cracks me up, was I reached 20 yrs months ago, but I see they didn't even print these out until June, shoot I'm already over half way to 21 yrs. But hey they said Thank YOU! What's an employee suppose to say to that. Maybe I should send them thank you's for the lovely metal pin, and let them know I will wear it with honors, or that I am going to place it in a glass case, with a hired guard to watch over it. LOL Oh I am just trying to be funny here, because I think receiving this pin is funny. Just laugh along with me, because that is exactly what I am doing while I type this out.

Back to Work!!!
Boy I hate when that happens! Every year it gets harder and harder, even with a new vehicle at work, I don't think it makes it any better. Of course the new ride has an adapter for a laptop if you want to use one, while working. Still I say I wouldn't miss it! The job is getting old, real old....
Why do stray animals like to find our home to hang out at? Why!!! Throughout the years that we have lived out here, we have had our fair share of lost animals. The other night we came home to find a lost gray cat, hanging out by our garage meowing. It has now been here 2 days and it needs to go back home. We know it belongs to someone, it has a white flea collar on it's neck and it acts like an indoor cat. Hopefully someone will claim it soon, the Lost sign is out by the main road, and I need it's owner to see it, so they can claim this cat and take it back home. Our new dog is thinking it is it's buddy and likewise with this cat. Let me just say one thing, this can't happen. No cats allowed in this household. Don and cats don't mix well he seems to not be able to breath real well when in contact with them. Now we can't have that happening, can we! Crossing fingers the "Lost" sign works, and the owners appear soon....

Music.....love Music
I have added a little music to my blog. If you check out the player on the right side, you can enjoy some music tunes. There is a little bit of everything, okay almost everything. But they are tunes I have enjoyed listening to in the past and now, and some that I still enjoy listening to. Of course this isn't even close to everything I like to listen to, but I could only put around 40 some selections and I had no problem doing that, but I could add a whole bunch more, maybe at a later time the selection will change.
Enjoy a little music...

Time to Create

Yep... that is what happens around here sometimes. And last night was one of those times that it did happen. I seen that AOL was showing Chris Daughtry's live concert last night. So I went there to watch it and just hearing the music must of put me in the mood to get busy and catch up on my "em cards" which I did. So now I am caught up with those here are weeks 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34. I have some other project I would like to get done, so hopefully the mojo to create will continue.
Oh and Chris in concert was pretty good. I would pay to see him perform live. I also enjoyed watching U2 in concert, it was nice to see them sing live again, that was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Another one I watched last night was Coldplay. I do enjoy their music, so it was nice to see them perform live. I also know for a fact I need music to create. Not sure why this is, but when it's on for some reason I get busy and get stuff done.
If you find some free time, check out www.aol.com free concerts, many to chose from to watch.
