Support your local Library

If you're like me and enjoy reading - you must remember your local library - because you might also be like me and always go out and buy the books you read. I'm not saying I won't buy anymore books, but I now will visit my local library a bit more then I use to. I will also make that mental note to remember to mark my calendar when they have their annual book sales. You really can find lots of good books at a good price. I am also going to donate some books for their book sale. Our libraries are a great resource that we can't afford to lose.
This is one of the books I have recently checked out of my library. I was directed to reading this book from Amy, who is doing a book club, and I have to say it was a good read, along with those laugh out loud moments. I am now reading another book by Jennifer Crusie that I got from the library. I hope it's as funny as this one was. This author is new for me, but I needed some new author to add to my read list. Another good point about using the library, you check out different authors for free. Nothing can beat Free!

Snowstorm & Basketball - What a Combo!

Yes this is the weather we are getting at the moment- a nice little snowstorm for the beginning of April. Have I mention that I am on Spring break, such a nice start for that. I think I will plan on staying inside and in my jammies. Good thing I have some good reading material to keep me occupied. At the moment I'm reading David Cristofano "The girl she used to be" (thanks Amy) it's an interesting read so far. I have just finished Nora Roberts "Tribute." Good read! Plus that's next Saturdays Lifetime's featured movie.

Well in other news, one of our college teams is one of the NCAA Final Four - Michigan State. But if you know me. I'm not a moldy green fan. Go Blue! But since it's a Mich. Team I will root for them tonight.

That's about it from this neck of the woods - I'm on vacation until next week, and plan to enjoy every minute of it.

A Late Twilight Post

Friday night was the big Twilight party, several stores were having one, but I only went to the three stores that were by each other in a local mall. I had my copy of the movie reserved at Hot Topic. It was a fun night, and the person I went with, won the trivia contest, that they were having. While at the party, I couldn't resist this lunchbox, so I had to buy it. Of course it's only going to be for show, and no real lunches will be stored in it. Even the thermos inside is detailed with photos & word. I also took a picture of my little Twilight stock I have. I think those Sweethearts boxes are so darn cute. I only bought the boxes that had Edward & Belle's faces on them. They had others, but 2 was enough. Now what am I going to do with all this, who knows, for the time being it's going to be display in my room. You do have to admit Edward isn't too hard on the eyes.

On the book front. I have just finished Northern Lights, by Nora Roberts. I had to read it before last Saturday night, when Lifetime TV air the movie. I have to say even with the changes they had made in the movie, it was really good. The next book is High Noon, by Nora Roberts, and following will be the 3 Janet Evanovich books I have piled up. If you have just finished a good book, share on a post. I enjoy hearing about good books.

It's starting to look like a good Summer - already!

Nickelback

On Sale Saturday at 10 AM

It might be Friday the 13th, it's also a good day to nab some awesome concert tickets. I was able to get tickets to this concert before they go on sale tomorrow to the public. Did you see not only is Nickelback playing, but Hinder, Papa Roach, and Saving Abel, are also with them. I am so excited to see all 4 of these groups, it's going to be a fun filled music night. The coolest part is the night after this concert, Don and I will be at the Jimmy Buffett concert, how fun is that going to be? I say LOTS!

I have to share with everyone. I have actually started working on a mini album. But, I can't take credit for the design of it, it was one I found online at a manufacture site, and I happen to have the product they used. I liked it so much that I wanted to recreate their book. Since it is for my own personal use, this mini book, will only be seen by my family, it's the only way I would re-create it.

Well if you watched Grey's last night, then you seen Izzy's medical condition, there has been rumors that this was coming, and that she was leaving the show, but the show today is stating that she is not leaving. Personally, I don't want to see anymore of the original cast of Grey leave.

Hope all is well with everyone, and sorry for the delays in post on this blog, but lately it's so easy to check Facebook with my phone that blogging has taken a bit of a backseat, but there are no plans of stopping the blog.

Not a very good set up for a peek at the winnings, but it just happens like that, sometimes. LOL
The winnings included these items of Tim's products: Adage tickets, keyholes, snaps, Grungeboard, 2 distress ink pads, 3 distress stickles, 1 glossy accents, 1 inkssentials-opaque pen. A very nice package, and filled with items I will use.
Guess what drops tomorrow?????? The new U2 cd! I cannot wait, when I have a free moment tomorrow, I will download it.
